The Medicus
The Physician
Trained by his master Renward Cysat, the great town clerk, pharmacist, scholar, theater director, and natural scientist, the Physician is extremely important to the city of Lucerne and the health of its residents. There are many diseases to research, many sufferings to cure, and medicines to be made.
The Physician traveled extensively to deepen his knowledge. Whether in the schools of Italian cities like Bologna or Florence, with scholars in the Far East, or with herbalists from the North.
In addition to medicine, the gentleman is also very interested in cultural events such as theater, something he undoubtedly also inherited from his master, who himself organized theater plays in the city.
His proximity to medicine, his fascination with illnesses and the body, and the ever-present Grim Reaper, led to the Physician having a rather dry, dry sense of humor. However, this can be moistened with good wine, for the good fellow is not entirely averse to wine. Get well soon and live a long life!

The All-Knowing in an Interview
What do you recommend for stomach problems?
According to my master, the best thing to do is take wheat germ or cherry stones. Sew them into a sack and warm it. Place it on your abdomen and wait. Every now and then, a sip of wine with honey is fine.
What's your favorite tour?
I really like the tour given by my colleague, the plague doctor. The tour shows the city's experiences and lessons learned during the plague epidemic and how cooperation with Milan helped defeat the Black Death in the city! I also enjoy talking to the bailiff, especially when he has the chronicle of Diebold Schilling with him!
What was Renward Cysat like as a teacher?
Strict, demanding, ambitious, a perfectionist... and the best thing that could have happened to me. He's also a good drinking companion and eloquent. Renward has such great stories to tell, although I'm still not sure where this "Japan" is... hmm? Oh, sorry, I was lost in thought during our last conversation at the Key.
Barber or barber, which do you recommend more?
Barber! It's controversial, though, due to womanizing and exorbitant cupping prices. But bathing is simply good for the soul and the body; the ancient Romans and Greeks already knew that. Add a glass of wine and you're fit!
But if it's important to you, stop by our pharmacy; it's safer!
What do you recommend for impotence?
I have time for a consultation next Monday; I don't want to reveal all my knowledge!
